Melinda McDonald, LMFT
As a licensed marriage and family therapist, I believe in your ability to grow and create positive change. For over a decade, I have been supporting individuals and couples of all backgrounds to achieve their fullest potential.
By utilizing compassion and self-acceptance, I help clients in identifying negative patterns, areas for growth, and their strengths. I believe that healthy and fulfilling relationships are an essential element to overall wellness. Together, we will work towards building authentic connections with those who matter most to you. The therapeutic relationship is one of the strongest components in promoting positive change. I strive to incorporate warmth, genuineness, and humor into our sessions. I use a collaborative approach to empower healing and wellness. During our time together, you should expect to receive practical tools, support, and therapeutic insight to help you achieve your goals.
I earned my Bachelor’s Degree from Bradley University. I then continued my education at Northwestern University, receiving my Post-Baccalaureate in Psychology and Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at the Family Institute at Northwestern University. While I am trained in several therapy models, I use an integrative approach to treatment. Together, we will develop a tailored treatment plan to match your style and meet your needs.
